The diagnosis for the case is "Gum hypertrophy", all of the mentioned options cause gum hypertrophy except " Thiazide diuretics" which is given in stem C..
- Causes of gum hypertrophy are:
drug induced: like phenytoin, nifedipine and cyclosporine.
-Vit.C deficiency ( Scurvy ).
- Acute myelomonocytic leukaemia.

Yup ! The moral of the story is to read the instructions carefully when answering MCQs. Most people know the answer as it is very straight forwards question. Just don't make mistakes....

Some tips :
look for words like NOT,
which of the following is INCORRECT, etc.

If you see words like may, the answer is most likely true.
If you see the word always, it is almost always wrong

In fact for MRCP Part 1 and 2a, it may be easier to look at the answers first then read the long texts.
