What is the typical clinical time course for GBS?

Are there any factors that predisposes a person to GBS?

Which GBS patients experience dysautonomias?

It has been said that factors such as Campylobactor jejuni and other viruses like CMV, HIV, EBV and even lymphomas predisposes to GBS. In about 60% of patients have resp and GI infection 1-3 weeks prior to the attack/. GBS patients do get autonomic dysfunction. The risk is high in patients with tetraplegia, resp failure and bulbar involvement. The time of recovery varies but its pace is steady. Often it occurs within few weeks or months.
