ECG Quiz


This is a 34 years old man who was admitted with a syncopal attack. ECG shows the above. What is the diagnosis and what would you do next.

HR around 60 bpm
LAD
Regular
ST elevation in V1 and negative T wave with gradually descending ST segment in V2 and V3

My impression: Brugada syndrome type 1

considering the fact that he was admitted with syncope, in my opinion it is most probably due to ventricular arrhythmia, so in this case, ICD implantation should be considered.
