Rheumatology/Endocrine quiz


Would anyone want to comment on these photos which I took of a boy when I was working in Casualty?

1st picture- shows ricket's wrist, increased osteoid cause widening of the physes at the wrists.

2nd picture- genu varum and widening and thickening of physes at the ankles

-most probably cause by rickets, have to do further investigations to find out the cause of rickets.a

Patient suffered rickets at young age? Need additional tests to check out possible causes of rickets.

there is bilateral symmetrical sweeling of both wrist anf few pip joints,in 2nd pic havind deformed legs and swollen ankes :most probably juvenile RA.
